QCYC PADDLEBOARD BORROWING PROCEDURE
Get ready for fun on the water!

1) Sign your QCYC paddleboard waiver*
The forms are in the box marked “QCYC Paddleboard Box,” located near the boards on the dinghy racks. Place signed waivers in the “Signed Waiver” envelope. You can also download and print a waiver here

2) Use Signup for your desired time slot. Use your camera to scan the QR code on signage near the boards to access the signup page or click this link:https://signup.com/go/LPXYkKx
Note: It’s easier to plan ahead: Sign up ahead of time so you don’t have to bring your cellphone on the water. Remember to cancel your Signup if your plans change, just like the tender.

3) Retrieve your board from the end of the blue dinghy racks on Algonquin Island where the canoes and small watercraft are kept. Follow the path from the clubhouse towards the bike racks, continue on and you will see the racks on your left. You will also see signage marking the area.

4) Carry your board to the launch area, the boat ramp off the drysail pad.
Tuck the board under one arm and use the hand-hold area on the board, or use two people to transport it.

5) Attach your foot leash, head to the end of the boat ramp & place your board in the water
Be careful not to break the fin on the ramp! For tips on how to mount the board check out the QCYC Paddleboard Quick Start Guide in the paddleboard box or at qcyc.ca. Enjoy the water for your 2h 45 min time slot.

6) Hose off any weeds or dirt at the dinghy ramp. Return the paddleboard to the designated racks with the board’s fin facing up and paddles on top of each board.
*Note: Signup will be periodically checked to ensure all participants have submitted a waiver. Failure to complete a waiver will result in loss of use of this amenity. Waivers must be completed by parents for children under 18.

Enjoy the lagoons and our fabulous island home! Tag all the fun you're having on Instagram @qcycsailing or email entertainment@qcyc.ca
