Flannagan/Sheedy win Steerers' and Four Sisters Regattas

QCYC junior sailors continued their success in the local 420 scene after winning two more regattas. The team of Timma Flanagan and Daniel Sheedy took top spot in both the Steerers' Regatta on July 19 & 20 and the Four Sisters Regatta July 21 & 22. The events were held at the Port Credit Yacht Club, alongside the Lake Ontario 300 in which four QCYC boats competed. It was sailing city there all weekend. QCYC entered six teams for the Steerers' Regatta including four beginner teams in the 420 white sail (non spinnaker) fleet.


Race Team Starts Strong at NYC

Two teams from the QCYC Junior Club race team placed first and second in the 420 fleet at this year's National Event.  Timma Flanagan and Daniel Sheedy won the regatta and Aleks Vagners and Rachel Harris placed second. 

The regatta took place July 15th and 16th and was hosted by the National Yacht Club.


Theme Night: July 7th Mardi Gras!
