One of our more popular events is the Women's Open Regatta. What started out as a way to bring more women into sailing by making it mandatory for a woman to helm the entire race and more often than not, the rest of crew was men, has turned into a highly competitive regatta with all-female crews joining from clubs around the lake and about the only spaces left for the men is as rail meat or deck fluff.
